Erica M is a luxe bodywear designer based in NYC. Her AW 13’ collection ‘Hedon’ debuted at the Porte De Versailles Salon International De La Lingerie show in January. It’s micro – just four styles (Ava, Vivian, Genevieve, and Nadia) but each one is distinctive and full of personality. Quite a clever idea we think – an all-in-one style that at first glance looks like the full ensemble – stockings and suspender belt – but without the faff. I did all that this morning and we missed the school bus.
“The brand consists of forward thinking legwear focused on creating an emotional response. The Erica M consumer exudes confidence, sensuality, elegance and sophistication while wearing trend-right unparalleled designs comprised of knitted and embellished patterns. With an offering of both opaque and transparent weaves, Erica M reveals the sexy elements of women’s legs while empowering her with a unique and all-original design matched to her personality.”
The tights have knitted and embellished patterns, opaque and transparent weaves and are made in Italy using luxe fabrics:
- Nadia – a woven garter that is fastened by a 1920′s inspired ribbon motif with a rope and tassel draped around one leg. Get the look of a garter set without the hassle.
- Genevieve – micro fishnets with ribbon detail on the legs, which ties in a bow at the lower section of each thigh. Micro fishnets are incredibly flattering as they slim and elongate the leg. The panty inspired pattern can reveal or conceal – depends how much you feel like revealing. The bow forms a distinctive back seam.
- Vivian – My fave – these are opaque from the front creating a streamlined aesthetic at first glance. The rear view features dramatic patterns made up of woven-in elaborate tassel, rope and feather designs fastened by a woven-in ribbon at the waist.
- Ava – a reinterpretation of the Vivian style as a hold-up. The design features include a tassel, rope and feather motif on both the front and back. A rope wraps around the upper thigh and climbs down the leg on each side. Both ropes are met with a bow.
These look fab worn with crocheted shorts as modelled by fashion blogger Susie Bubble. Or, as she suggests with a wrap-over style dress/skirt to show off the fancy bits.
A statement piece in their own right rather than something you peel off in a hurry to get down to your lingerie…
