Erotic Meet is a community site for people working creatively within the erotic field. Members include writers, publishers, artists, photographers, filmmakers, performers, and designers. I had a browse this evening and it’s left me inspired. I’ve been looking for a forum of sorts to connect with other creatives for collaboration and there’s a lot to get involved with here.
It’s free to join and the members’ area offers a platform to showcase your work and check out fellow members. I found useful posts on Eroticon, a sex blogging and erotic writing conference in Bristol next March, an art project by Elinros Henriksdottir called ‘100 Orgasms,’ and workshops in sexual expression via the wonderful Ladygarden blog.
It lists upcoming art/erotic exhibitions, talks and events via a live newsfeed, plus there’s EMeet Radio and an artist’s gallery where you can add your own images, videos, blog posts and events. The aim of the site, says founder Miss Player, is to ‘help each other grow creatively and to encourage you to do the same. Many collaborations are formed through Erotic Meet and we can all achieve our goals much more easily when we work together.’
There’s a weekly question in the Members’ lounge to inspire chat and a monthly competition with prizes from one of its supporters, Sex Toys UK. I’m also happy to see there’s offline networking via regular meets at the Green Carnation cocktail bar in Soho.
